August Bank Holiday weekend can mean only one thing - Notting Hill Carnival, a time to celebrate Britain's Caribbean community.

With the street festival sadly cancelled once again this year, we have partnered with Notting Hill Carnival, to bring the spirit of Carnival to the TikTok community through a series of in app celebrations, creator LIVEs and bespoke community events; bringing together the vibrant and diverse creativity of TikTok with Black British culture.

28 August - 8pm: Tune in to see the Steel Pan bands rehearse for their performance at the UK National Panorama steelband competition, being streamed LIVE from the iconic Tabernacle building!

On top of all of this, we will also have an exclusive #CarnivalReady playlist, curated by Notting Hill Carnival available, featuring soco music, dancehall, reggae and all the sounds that you would expect to hear on the Carnival route - Bringing the sounds of Carnival directly to your For You Feed!

And after what has been a trying 18 months for the arts and culture community, and the impact of Carnival being cancelled for the second year in a row, we will also be running a Carnival specific donation sticker in-app for Carnival Village Trust, London’s development agency for Carnival Arts. Carnival Village Trust host strategic arts venues and work with carnival arts organisations, including Notting Hill Carnival. Just tap the icon in-app to donate.

Lola Oyewole, Creator Community Manager "This year, although we can't be together on the streets of Notting Hill, we'll be using the power of TikTok to celebrate and educate the community on what Carnival really means, through an amazing creator LIVE series, the #CarnivalReady hashtag and playlists curated by Notting Hill Carnival.

We are inviting everyone on TikTok to come together, share their creativity and celebrate Britain's Caribbean community and the spirit of Notting Hill Carnival."
