TikTokEvery February in the UK we celebrate LGBTQ+ history month. This is a month celebrating the history and observance of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. It is also a means of raising awareness of the issues the LGBTQ+ community face 🌈❤️
We want to take this opportunity to share some of our fantastic creators from the LGBTQ+ community. On TikTok we are all about diversity and embracing an inclusive community, where users can inspire creativity and joy. Sometimes sharing who you really are with the world can be scary, but our creators from the LGBTQ+ community are doing an amazing job and are such an inspiration.
Our LGBTQ+ advocates are not only inspiring others to be their true authentic selves but also raising awareness and encouraging others to think differently. @persworld is an 18-year-old creator (they/them) who uploads daily vlogs to TikTok which are always great fun and full of creativity. Their TikToks often feature their boyfriend @evsoddart (he/him) who is also an avid TikTokker. They are the cutest couple and it's amazing that they are using TikTok to share their uniqueness and love ❤️
@matthewandryanuk are a couple with a joint TikTok account who share hilarious videos which often involve beauty or trying out our cool features and filters 👬They even got one of their TikTok videos up on the big screen at Piccadilly Circus the evening of The Brit Awards! With a whopping 1.3M followers on TikTok, they always share imaginative content and are always getting involved in the latest trends; highlighting that TikTok is the place to be for creativity and diversity.
We couldn't talk about the LGBTQ+ community without mentioning the sensational Drag Queens on the platform. We have so many talented Drag Queens on TikTok who use the platform to share their transformation into drag looks.
@ellis_atlantis is a beautiful Drag Queen who is forever creative in his make-up looks and TikTok videos. He combines both the creativity and music aspects of TikTok!
@wyntirose is another one of our favourite Drag Queens! She gets so creative with her drag looks and it's exciting to see what she does each time.
