#FilmTok creators on the Festival steps

This year, TikTok is inviting creators from around the world to experience the Cannes Film Festival from the inside. From the glamour of the red carpet to activations with film talent and other exclusive events, creators will have the opportunity to share behind-the-access content with their communities, highlighting the excitement of the Croisette and the films in competition.

Below is a spotlight of some of the creators on the ground at Cannes, embodying the diversity and richness of creativity on TikTok and representing verticals across lifestyle, entertainment, and more:

  • @cinema.joe - Joe Aragon is a creator from Los Angeles who combines his love for film and pop culture to create exciting and engaging videos on TikTok. From recommending underrated gems, discussing the most recent releases, or breaking down awards season, Joe's ultimate goal is to share his love for film and remind people that there's a movie for everyone.
  • @cvnela - Monse Gutierrez is a TV and movie expert known for discussing scary stories and horror films. Whether her deep-dives are through video essays or interviews with stars and directors ahead of their films' release, she continues to share her love of horror through her content.
  • @guywithamoviecamera - Reece Feldman is an emerging filmmaker who first gained recognition for sharing behind-the-scenes content on TikTok while working as a Production Assistant on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. From there, Feldman turned his platform into a new career path, quickly becoming a trusted Gen Z voice of film and television to his over 2.5 million followers. His short marks a defining new chapter in Feldman’s creative evolution — from making videos about the films of others, to making a film of his own.
  • @jocwatchlist - Jocelyn is a creator who helps TV and movie enthusiasts find their next binge watch. If you ever run out of things to watch — she has you covered.
  • @moviesaretherapy - Chris Rudd, known online as Kit Lazer, talks about movies and TV all over the internet as often as he can. As someone in recovery, he believes that stories have saved his life and lives to create and hopes to create for a living.
  • @nicky.reardon - Nicky is best known for his well-researched analyses and deep dives of art, culture, and entertainment. Nicky hosts the "Nicky at Night" podcast, where he delves into stories behind music, movies, and marketing.

TikTok continues to be a space where film reviews, recommendations, and analysis find a loyal and engaged audience — evidenced by the worldwide popularity of the hashtag #FilmTok, which grew 94.7% from April 2024 to April 2025 and now has more than 1.8M posts. #Cannes2025 — experience the Cannes Film Festival on TikTok

In 2024, more than 22,000 videos were posted worldwide with the hashtag #Cannes2024. This year, TikTok users will be able to follow the official hashtag #Cannes2025 and explore the dedicated “Festival de Cannes” Hub directly on the app to go behind the scenes of the Festival. The community can also find exclusive content from creators, highlights from the red carpet, cast interviews, film reviews, fashion analysis, and commentary on predictions for the next Palme d'Or winner.

From April 10th, 2025, to May 7th, 2025, we hosted a TikTok Film & TV Competition on platform, giving the #FilmTok community the opportunity to collect cash prizes and a trip to the Cannes Film Festival by posting seven high quality Film & TV-related videos with #TikTokFilmTVCompetition. The competition had over 300,00 global entries from the US, FR, UK, DE, KR and JP. Winners from the participating countries will be hosted on-site by TikTok during the second week of the Cannes Film Festival for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

From the red carpet to the warm sand, TikTok is making a splash

During the Festival, TikTok will take over Copal Beach on the Croissete and have a dedicated TikTok space in the JW Marriott — fostering connections between creators, partners, and film industry professionals through a series of activations. Events throughout the first week include: TikTok Party #Cannes2025 (Wednesday, May 14); Redefining Fandom and the Future of Entertainment: An Industry Brunch by TikTok (Thursday, May 15); TikTok in Cannes: Entertainment Creator Mixer (Saturday, May 17); and more.

As a special highlight, TikTok is thrilled to present the official premiere of Wait, Your Car? — the directorial and writing debut of @guywithamoviecamera — at 6:30pm on Saturday May 17th at the Palais I, Palais Cinema – Marché du Film.
