The Black community on TikTok is a driving force in creating change, breaking down boundaries, and inspiring others both on and off platform.

There are over 5M creations for #BlackTikTok, and every day, our thriving community of Black creatives, small businesses and artists create an inclusive and safe space for people to share their stories and ideas, empowering our community with their creativity and passion.

This Black History Month, we're celebrating our talented #BlackTikTok community, amplifying their voices and stories with the theme of 'Empower Black'. This includes spotlighting some of our trailblazing #BlackTikTok creators, growing Black-owned beauty businesses that started on TikTok, as well as emerging and established Black music artists and their sounds.

Check out our Black History Month campaign running throughout October and beyond by searching #BlackTikTok and at the Black History Month hub.

Supporting the Black community

As we celebrate the Black creators, businesses and artists making the community a better place, we know that we can't support them all alone, so we've been partnering with exceptional organisations to find new and innovative ways to help them thrive. This year, we're proud to be supporting two events, the Black British Book Festival and The Beauty Beat to further their work and provide unique opportunities for our inspiring creative community.

The biggest Black literary event, The Black British Book Festival, is returning for its fourth year, offering a unique family-friendly experience with a lot of entertainment, workshops, pop-up events, arts and crafts, and the most anticipated Black book marketplace, plus a takeover of the Barbican Library for the day.

The Beauty Beat is the UK’s only luxury beauty event dedicated to Women of Colour and Black beauty. An annual two-day event, returning this year on 2nd and 3rd November 2024, this event creates an inspiring space for Women of Colour to feel seen, centred and celebrated.

During Black History Month, and all year round, we collaborate with partners to make sure that our work reflects the needs and aspirations of the Black community, through championing the initiatives that matter most.
