TikTok is a platform where people from all walks of life can connect with their communities, engage in meaningful conversations, and share important insights. Whether through #LearnonTikTok or our dedicated STEM feed, we are committed to helping our community find educational and informative content from reliable sources.
We already take a number of measures to ensure the TikTok community has access to reliable information, whether it's through sharing information from the NHS when someone searches for terms linked to conditions such as depression, anxiety, or autism, among others, or our recently announced partnership with the World Health Organization's FIDES network.
Building on these efforts, we’re pleased to announce the launch of the UK Clinician Creator Network, an initiative bringing together 19 leading NHS qualified clinicians who are actively sharing their medical expertise on TikTok, engaging a community over 2.2 million followers.
Collaborating for social impact
The Clinician Creator Network will meet twice a year, providing a unique opportunity for members to collaborate, discuss their experiences on the platform, and share insights into the health topics that are resonating with the community.
Facilitating open dialogue and feedback
The council will provide a valuable platform for clinicians to offer feedback about their experiences on TikTok. Their input will be integral to enhancing our ongoing work in promoting credible health content and addressing any content-related concerns.
Building a supportive community for health expertise on TikTok
In addition to collaboration and feedback, the council will serve as a powerful networking space. By connecting like-minded clinicians, we aim to grow the number of medical professionals using TikTok effectively, creating a supportive community that encourages knowledge-sharing and best practices.
