TikTok Creator Spotlight: @Tyreeceinheels
To celebrate the start of London Fashion Week and LGBTQ History Month this week's creator spotlight focuses on LGBTQIA+ style icon Tyreece.
Tyreece oozes fashion, taste, and true main character vibes which we love to see. Not only are they confident and super cool, but every one of their fits are a showstopper!
Even though Tyreece is busy wowing the fashion world, they are still super relatable, sharing our obsession with Encanto, as well as honest reactions to getting caught filming content, alongside a sneak peek of their very first go at drag.
Tyreece constantly reminds us that blending into the background is boring which we're so here for! We sat down with them to chat about their journey on TikTok, along with what they're most looking forward to this London Fashion Week.
Who is your style icon?
McQueen Runway. Anything big, bold and beautiful. Fashion should always make a statement and I don't want to blend in with a basic outfit. No offence.
What first inspired you to create on TikTok?
I didn’t see anyone like me. Or rather there was very few people like me with a massive following and broadcast so I wanted to create a brand that was 100% queer.
Why is TikTok right for your feel good content?
It’s important to document the queer experience as a positive one. There’s too much sadness that surrounds it, which is true and that is with most things. I want to show that being queer is fab and colourful!
What is your favourite recent challenge or trend on TikTok?
I actually tend not to follow the trends as I just like doing what I want, but I do love anything transitional as a gag.
What is your goal on TikTok?
To inspire the queer youth. I'm living proof that you don't need to follow heteronormative standards to be successful.
What else or who else is on your TikTok For You feed?
Everything Drag Race!
What is your favourite TikTok you have made to date and why?
It’s actually pinned to my profile; it’s my ‘POV: you have a fairy godmother’ which has one of my best and crazier outfits. If you’ve seen it, you are welcome. I love wearing my emotions on my sleeve and fashion does that for me, and this video is just the epitome of happiness and joy.
Finally . . . Which designer's new collection are you most looking forward to seeing during London Fashion Week?
I'm actually always looking out for the new upcoming newly established queer designers as I always want to support those who are just emerging; for example, graduates and first-timers at London Fashion Week. I always like to keep a watchful eye on the new big upcoming stars!
