Throughout Fashion Month, we've been spotlighting the #TikTokFashion Collective, the creatives, designers, and fashion thinkers shaping the future of fashion on TikTok and beyond. With Paris Fashion week bringing the month's celebrations to an end, we are shining a light on one final style maker - the fabulous @HollyMarstonn!

Holly's content focuses on body confidence and she's passionate about raising awareness around the lack of size diversity in the fashion industry. She takes damaging stereotypes around plus-size women head-on, promoting acceptance and encouraging others to live their best, confident lives.

From fall outfit ideas to the chicest plus-size pieces that her viewers can buy online, Holly's trailblazing attitude and personal style have attracted nearly half a million followers on her TikTok. She's best known for her long-running series 'Is it a fit or is she just skinny', where she recreates trending styles to see if they translate well to plus-sized bodies.

We sat down with Holly to reflect on the creators that inspire her, what advice she'd give to budding fashionistas, and the fashion trends she can't get enough of!

What is your favourite thing about fashion and style content on TikTok?

TikTok gives me the platform to reach people and inspire others to wear what they want and be stylish, regardless of their shape and size. I’m also able to educate people on how society has constructed frameworks that have formed issues around body image.

Why did you decide to start creating content on TikTok?

I just had a huge gut feeling it was the next most innovative app and was going to become the most popular and relevant place to be. I jumped on it hesitantly as I wasn’t really making video content on other platforms. It pushed me out of my comfort zone though, and now I’m able to show my personality and connect with my audience on a deeper level because of it.

What other fashion creators on TikTok do you follow?

I mostly follow plus-size creators like myself. This is because most of the trends straight-size creators do I can’t even be part of anyway due to my size. Some plus & mid-size fashion creators include @alessiagolfetto, @francescaperks, @emma.arletta and @moeblackx. I do follow some straight-size creators for fashion & content inspiration too, such as @abigalemasters1, @ameliaafleur @hannahyohon & @by.regiina.

What is your goal on TikTok?

I want to create an even bigger community that feels empowered and confident after watching my content. I also want to diversify my content into beauty, lifestyle, interior etc, and show my audience more about my life and what I’m like as a person.

What is your favourite TikTok video you have made to date and why?

My favorite TikTok is definitely a compilation of videos spanning a few months where my boyfriend filmed me whilst complimenting me behind the camera. I edited them all together with the text overlay pov: you finally found someone who loves every inch of you. It’s so organic and is like a memory book to me personally, and this in turn also gives my audience a sneak peak into what I’m really like as a person and my life. The response was also great, with people messaging me directly expressing how it made them feel more comfortable in their body and hopeful that they will find love regardless of how their body looks.

What piece of advice would you give to someone interested in fashion?

Be as authentically you as possible! People love authenticity. But also don’t be stagnant and keep experimenting with your personal style. Push yourself out of your comfort zone to learn new things about yourself and constantly develop. Get inspiration from TikTok and Pinterest as a starting point!

Finally, what else is on your For You feed?!

Such a diverse range of things! I love TikTok as an educational tool mostly. So right now you’ll mostly see skincare tips, investment tips for index funds and crypto, DJ sets and tutorials, interior inspiration, nutritional recipes and of course, men thinking about the roman empire!
