@doctor.emeka is no exception! He posts TikTok videos on interesting medical facts, health advice and Covid 19 updates that all of his hundreds of thousands of followers can find beneficial! But let’s take a moment to learn more about the man behind the scrubs…

From a young age Emeka Okorocha knew that becoming a Doctor was his calling. He comes from a family of medics, including his grandfather who was a doctor, father a medical consultant and siblings who are all medical students. He’s also a Nigerian Prince, third in line to the throne in his province. Now that's quite the family tree!

Whilst studying medicine he was featured in the BBC documentary “Junior doctors: Blood, Sweat and Tears’, which shone a light on his tough job as an F1 doctor. Since then his popularity has continued to grow, which he’s channelled for good by sharing helpful medical advice to his growing social media audience.

Let's take a look at what makes this NHS Doctor’s TikTok account so important to follow.

As a practicing medical professional, Dr Emeka Okorocha was called to the front lines when the global pandemic first broke out. That's why we should all take a moment to learn from his educational TikTok videos on the coronavirus to see how we can better help the incredible NHS staff.

That includes gaining a better understanding of the government’s ‘test and trace’ initiative which is designed to keep us all safe.
