On TikTok, we have seen a whole new generation of creative talent flourish, from filmmakers and comedians to musicians and small businesses. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to turn their creative passion into a career, which is why we are proud to be collaborating with the BBC on the Creator Lab initiative in it's first year, a new programme designed to highlight and nurture young digital creative talent across the UK.

The Creator Lab programme aims to give 100 social media and digital creators, who have an interest in pursuing a career in television, the opportunity to take part in a special development programme run by the BBC and TikTok.

The BBC will host in-person sessions and provide young creatives with tools to boost their social presence and help build their next step in their media careers. Meanwhile, experts from TikTok will provide tips and insights on how to use our platform, in exciting, creative ways.

This is one of the biggest talent initiatives TikTok has worked on in the UK. It's amazing to be partnering with the BBC to give young social media native creative talent the opportunity to develop their skills and pursue a career with one of the UK's most established cultural institutions.
