Happy International Families Day to all our TikTok families!

Every year on 15 May the world celebrates the importance of families across all societies and cultures. Now more than ever, as lockdown eases and we may soon be able to reunite with some of our nearest and dearest, we want to celebrate all the fantastic families on TikTok who have been showing us that life under lockdown can be full of fun, despite these challenges 🥰

In many ways, lockdown has brought families even closer together. Multiple generations under one roof, and families of all ages and make ups working from home and homeschooling together has generated a real spike in Family TikTok videos.

#BlindingLightsChallenge (238m views) This challenge inspired by the Weeknd's hit song has become incredibly popular with families. Easy enough for even the most uncoordinated parent to learn, it’s the perfect opportunity to get everyone of all ages dancing together.

#ImJustAKid (2.4B views) TikTokers are using the lyrics of the classic pop-punk emo track by Simple Plan to recreate old family photos. Siblings, partners and friends are posing in the exact same way as the original photo which pops up at the end of the video - a great challenge to evoke some nostalgia! What better way to celebrate International Families Day?

Something New song (3.8m videos) This fun dance challenge requires each family member to replicate the last dance move, with celebs Saffron Barker, the D'Amelio's and Talia Storm jumping on the trend with their families.

Parent Tag Sound (8K videos) In this cheeky challenge kids are asked a series of different questions and have to choose which parent best fits the bill by dipping their heads in flour! Have a go at your own peril... 

Angel Eyes Duet (135K videos) Recreate the iconic duet from Mamma Mia with your nearest and dearest. This one's popular with mums and daughters, but a few Dads have had a go too! Grab your bath towel and sunglasses and give it a go!

#ComeDineWithMe (24m views) Recreate everyone's favourite daytime cooking show! This is the latest trend for families showcasing their best at-home cookery skills and dressing up for the occasion during lockdown.

#UpAndDown (488m views) Want to keep active and entertained during lockdown? This is a fun family stay-at-home workout challenge, pick your pair and see if you can hold each other up! 

#OhNanaChallenge (890m views) Have you got rhythm? Pick a partner and try keeping up with this fun coordination dance challenge!
