TikTokAs Black History Month draws to a close, over the past couple of weeks we have celebrated Black history, culture, content and our incredible Black community here on TikTok.
Throughout #BlackHistoryMonth, our Creator Spotlight series has been dedicated to introducing some of the many #BlackVoices making waves on TikTok right now. Even though Black History Month is over, we continue to celebrate these incredible creators and aim to provide an inclusive space here on TikTok for creative expression, growth and community.
Our Creator Spotlight this week is the inspirational @thelucya! If you want a big sister or a friend to give you all the advice you need, she's there to impart her nuggets of wisdom 15 seconds at a time or 50 seconds for those that really need it. From how to spot the red flags of dating, to the importance of loving yourself, her inspirational content has been providing us with some much needed positivity!

What does black history month mean to you ?
#BlackHistoryMonth is a month where we reflect on the past and look towards a better future. It's a month where we celebrate all shades of black with pride.
What do you love most about sharing your content on TikTok?
I love that I can make an impact on many people in various countries without being there. It's a platform that has allowed me to tap into my inner person that I was so afraid to share. TikTok has valued my work and confirmed that my situations are universal.
What do you love most about TikTok and the community?
The TikTok community has been the most welcoming and receiving platform. This platform has made me cry, laugh, dance, and learn all in one space. It doesn't matter if you're new to the community, they always show love!
What is your favourite recent challenge ?
I am in love with a recent challenge from the Basboosa song. I have seen various people from different races embracing the song which shows how interconnected we all are!
What is your goal on TikTok
My goal is to ensure that people feel valued and make an impact in people's lives. I strongly believe that we all need a bit of inspiration and motivation.
Who else is on your TikTok for your feed?
I love @bonbonod14 content and @samagbiji's content. Most importantly, I absolutely love @itsjustnifee. Her content brings so much joy and happiness through dance and I love her signature blue hair!
What's the best TikTok you have done ?
My video on attachments was the best video I ever made. This was the video that started my TikTok journey, I still get emotional when I watch it because my intention was to have a positive impact on everyone and myself.
