@missfarming, real name Jess, might just have the best job out there, spending her days surrounded by her adorable (and hilarious) farm animals. Jess has spent her life growing up and working on a farm and now she's sharing the highs and lows on TikTok with her 150,000 followers!

If you've ever wondered how to get into farming, what farmers do or what farming life is like then look no further than Jess' TikTok page. Jess uses TikTok to share her love of farming- with cheeky farm animals taking front and centre- and connect with other female farmers on TikTok!

Whether she's checking on a newborn calf, giving a cow a pedicure, rehoming adorable piglets or teaching a calf how to showjump, there's never a boring moment and you'll fall in love with the animals, just like we have!

We were lucky enough to get a (rare) moment to sit down with Jess and find out all about what life as a farmer is all about...

What do you like about TikTok?

I love that tiktok gives me the opportunity to share my farming life with other people and hopefully put a smile on their face.

Why is TikTok right for your content?

I think tiktok works well for my content because a lot of the viewers who watch and like my videos have never been on a farm but show a real interest as to what farm life is like. They seem to love seeing something a bit different.

What is your favourite effect?

To be honest I’m not really sure I’ve ever posted a video with an effect. I’ve played around with a few but because I’m mainly posting videos with animals I don’t find I need to use an effect.

What is your goal on TikTok?

My main goal on TikTok is to show people that farming is an amazing career. There is a lot of misinformation which floats around the internet about farming so I have the opportunity to show people how much we love our animals and how well we look after them.

If I can also inspire the younger generation to take up and interest in farming then I feel I have accomplished something.

Who do you follow on TikTok – and why? / What is on your TikTok feed?

- There is a great community on TikTok of other young farmers who I follow and I love seeing their different methods of farming. Until I joined TikTok I never knew how many other young female farmers there were and we’ve all become friends because of it.

What is your favourite TikTok you have made to date and why?

It’s really hard to choose which tiktok I’ve enjoyed making the most because they are all so different. I think the video of my calf called Mooana jumping over a fence brings a smile to my face every time I watch it and reminds me why I love my job.

What kick started your passion for farming?

I’ve had a passion for farming from a very young age, I was lucky enough to have grown up on a farm so I’ve been working with animals all my life. It comes with a lot of ups and downs and isn’t always easy but looking after the farm animals is my passion.
