We sat down with him to understand where it all started and what inspires him to create such delicious dishes…
What does Black History Month mean to you?
To me, Black History Month is the opportunity to celebrate the achievements being made by black people, whilst also shining a light on the struggles our ancestors faced and sadly what we still face now. I celebrate black culture every day, but Black History Month gives us a platform to amplify our voices.
What do you love most about sharing your food & recipes on TikTok?
I love that it brings people together, I find it amazing that a TikTok video can reach people on the other side of the world. Having people from Australia make my recipes still shocks me!
What do you love most about TikTok?
TikTok has given me a purpose I didn’t think I had.
What is your favourite recent challenge or trend on TikTok?
What is your goal on TikTok?
To reach 2 million followers by my birthday (April) I’ve recently learnt to always set my goals 10x bigger than I originally plan. Simply because it’s better to fall short on a goal 10x bigger than a goal that’s 10x smaller!
What else or who else is on your TikTok For You feed?!
What is your favourite TikTok you have made to date and why?
Oh! that’s a tough one, I love all my videos, but it would have to be the carbonara ASMR video. I learnt a lot from that one as I’d never made carbonara before that!
