TikTokThe Euros are finally on the horizon, but you need look no further than TikTok if you're after a football fix.
Despite only playing amateur football for 10+ years, Callum 'The Dragon' truly wears the TikTok crown - known as the best goalkeeper in TikTok football history.
Callum started posting content of himself saving goals, and then used the Duet feature to comment, critique and advise others on how to get their football in the back of the net. His posts- which span all things football on TikTok- have become so popular, with his brutally honest (and supportive!) commentary, that he's amassed over 17 million likes on his videos.
Fans across TikTok have been submitting their videos for Cal to duet, sharing the tips they've learnt from his videos and hoping to get feedback from the legend himself! In between showing us all how it's done, rating people's goals and offering his advice, Cal has built a huge following of almost a million users who love his content!
He's even attracted interest from world class professionals like record-breaking Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster who challenged Callum to beat his tricks, and is now a 'massive fan' of his work, heralding Callum an 'absolute legend'.
TikTok loved Cal's content so much that we launched our first ever creator hashtag challenge! The #CalTheDragon hashtag encourages others in the community to show off their best goals to TikTok's favourite goalie. With over 260 million views, there's really no stopping him and we can't wait to see his reaction to the EUROs this summer!
In our latest TikTok Creator Spotlight, we chatted with Cal to get to know what inspires him and how we can brush up on our footy skills...
What do you love about TikTok?
I love how you're able to interact with other creators, (including famous sportspeople!) and duet their videos.
Why is TikTok right for your content?
I’m a goalkeeper so I want to show the world I’m class and TikTok is the perfect platform for me definitely.
What is your goal on TikTok?
I want to connect with as many people as possible so I'd love to reach 1 Million Followers by the end of April- I'm currently on 902K which is amazing, so it’s looking possible.
Who do you follow on TikTok and why?
I follow mostly football creators as it’s my hobby and i sometimes follow other creators who post videos on art, fitness and food.
What is on your TikTok feed?
My feed is mostly a mix of football stuff ranging from tutorials to match footage, as well as other stuff from creators I follow like recipes and art pops up sometimes.
What is your favourite TikTok that you have made to date and why?
My favourite TikTok is now one I did a few months back it absolutely exploded it got at least 3.1 Million views which I’m very happy with.
What is your TikTok highlight so far?
My highlight is probably being famous on TikTok! I've nearly hit one Million followers which is incredible because it means I'm doing what I love while bringing people videos that they enjoy. Couldn't ask for more than that!
Which football player would you most like to play alongside?
I would love to play with Ben Foster of Watford Football Club, that would be incredible!
