BBC Children in Need has launched on TikTok (@bbccin), capturing events from across the country and making it easier for the TikTok community to get involved via an official TikTok Donation Sticker for the charity.

BBC Children in Need will be sharing everything from behind the scenes content to fundraising updates, with their iconic mascot Pudsey connecting the magic of this national moment with a TikTok audience.

Ahead of the BBC Children in Need Appeal Night Show, which kicks off on Friday 18th November live on BBC One from 7pm, a dedicated Donation Sticker for the charity will go live, building on the success of last year's fundraising. TikTok users can add the Donation Sticker to their videos in support of the cause. People wishing to donate can tap on the sticker, and they will be transferred to a secure page where they can make a donation amount of their choosing.

The global TikTok community can also tune into an Ultra Marathon, hosted by Joe Wicks (@thebodycoach), which will be happening from 8:30am on Friday 18th November and will be streamed on @bbccin. This Friday, he will be completing his epic Ultra Marathon challenge live on the Appeal show and will be encouraging the TikTok community to donate to BBC Children in Need using the donation sticker throughout the challenge.

Also on Appeal day, BBC Children in Need, Connect Management and a host of TikTok stars including Luke Vernon, Brandon Baum, Lara Mason, Richard Sales, McLoughlin Girls and Mesha Moinirad are coming together for a 24-hour TikTok live stream to help drive fundraising donations. The stream kicks off at 6pm on Appeal day, ending at 6pm on Saturday 19th November.

The 24-hour live stream will be hosted by TikTok influencers Luke Vernon and Richard Sales, and over thirty TikTok talents who are joining forces to participate in challenges, games, storytelling and quizzes. Fundraising challenges include creating a life size Pudsey cake, Pudsey blind makeovers and SPOTacular football contests which the stars are hoping their followers will join in with whilst helping to raise vital funds for the charity.

Throughout the week, make sure to watch out for the BBC Children in Need Donation Sticker across a whole host of TikTok creator profiles, including Dr Julie Smith, Amelia Olivia, Katylee Bailey and Connorckern.

We are excited to invite the global TikTok community to get involved on Friday 18th November, to raise donations for a wonderful cause and help support children and young people in the UK.

James Stafford, TikTok UK MD, commented: "We are thrilled to launch a TikTok account for BBC Children in Need helping them reach new audiences and building on the huge success they had last year’s fundraising on TikTok. The TikTok community has a huge heart, and we hope the donation sticker will enable them to support and share this worthy cause."
Claire Hoyle, Commercial Director at BBC Children in Need, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be launching a TikTok account to help us reach new audiences, and further entertain our wonderful supporters digitally. Pudsey will very much sit at the heart of our channel, and we hope everyone enjoys getting to know our cheeky, but incredibly kind and charitable bear.”
