TikTok has brought its highly anticipated #ForYou Summit to New Zealand at the Glasshouse in Morningside. The event, a spectacular showcase of innovation, creativity, and impact, drew an audience of over 100 industry partners to hear from local agencies, creators and brands. From awareness to action, to unleashing the creative potential of TikTok to captivate audiences, and activating TikTok communities, TikTok's #ForYou Summit brought the platform's experience to life in an entirely new way.

As the summit commenced, Carsten Grueber, TikTok's New Zealand Country Manager, highlighted the significant milestone of 2023 for TikTok. The platform's ongoing growth has sparked creativity and brought joy to over 1 billion people, unlocking the ability for Kiwis to discover new audiences and achieve real-world success through TikTok.

Guests heard from a diverse group of advertisers who shared their firsthand experiences of how TikTok has made a meaningful impact on their brands, including:

  • Spark NZ: Matt Bain, Spark NZ Chief Marketing Officer, shared insights on their journey becoming comfortable with the unpolished nature of TikTok content and the success of both Spark NZ and Skinny on platform.
  • ASB: Helen Fitzsimons, ASB Chief Marketing Officer, spoke of their journey getting started on TikTok and seeing early success using the platform via their social good campaign in partnership with Youthline and Kiwi musician BENEE.
  • Golden: Jordan Watson, aka "How to Dad", took the stage to discuss his journey as a creator on platform, amassing a huge 848,000 followers on TikTok, and launching his jandal brand via the platform to great early success.

TikTok Creative Agency Partner, Nick O'Donnell, also shared the Recut, Remix, Reimagine framework for brands looking to elevate their TikTok creative, alongside TikTok Head of Agency for AUNZ, Andrew Cambridge, who chatted to Lisa Fedyszyn, Executive Creative Director at Special Group NZ and Rob Thomas, Head of Digital and Dataat Spark Foundry NZ on how they're driving success on TikTok for their clients.
