As the destination for community-driven entertainment with a global community of over 1 billion people, TikTok provides unique opportunities to make a real difference by harnessing the power of discovery to connect, creativity to inspire, and community to create a meaningful impact on people's lives.
In honor and celebration of Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement, and TikTok’s 3rd annual #GivingSzn, we’re introducing new ways for our community to raise donations for organizations they are passionate about in partnership with Goodstack, a leader in global donations infrastructure.
Enhanced donation features to give with ease
#GivingSzn is TikTok's annual celebration of generosity, where our creators and community come together to support organizations around the world. This year, with our optimized Donation feature, we've made it easier for people to contribute to causes they care about directly within the app. From international nonprofits to local community initiatives, creators can now choose organizations they are passionate about from Goodstack's validated database of nonprofit partners.
With these updates, creators can now personalize their fundraisers by adding a custom fundraiser name, goal amount, and cover photo, and a space to share their personal stories, giving creators the platform to inspire action and form a deeper connection with both their cause and community.
For every fundraiser, shareable stickers will be generated which creators can share across TikTok in their videos, posts, and LIVEs, collecting donations from all distributed stickers, and helping expand reach and visibility to reach the fundraising goal even faster.
Creators inspiring meaningful change
The TikTok community is not only passionate about giving back, but also driving change. We hope to empower the next wave of creators, changemakers and emerging leaders tackling a wide range of social issues by providing the tools needed to rally support, raise awareness, and inspire change to work towards a kinder, more sustainable, more equitable world. Meet five TikTok creators using TikTok's Donation feature to raise funds for a variety of causes, amplify their stories, and make a difference both on and beyond the platform.

How did you get started fundraising on TikTok?
My fundraising journey on TikTok started after I spoke with the American Heart Association. They saw I went through Open Heart surgery during the middle of the pandemic and reached out for me to share my story. TikTok had just rolled out the fundraising option so it was perfect.
What's been the most rewarding part of fundraising on TikTok?Any specific moment you can share?
My most rewarding part of fundraising on TikTok was when we crossed over the 1 million dollar mark raised in the platform. My initial goal was 25k but after we blew that out of the water during our first Live. I decided to continue until we broke the million mark. Seeing a community of TikTok creators come together to both fundraise themselves as well as donate was something I will forever be honored and grateful for.
Can you tell us about a recent cause or organization you’ve supported and its impact?
The American Heart Association is who I will always fundraise for. Of course because of my personal connection to the mission. But also because they’ve done such an awesome job meeting creators where they’re at. It’s been amazing to see their growth through Live fundraising and what they’re doing to continue to spread awareness.
What strategies or tools did you use to encourage participation and donations when using this feature?
My biggest strategy for anyone wanting to get involved with fundraising is sharing ‘YOUR WHY’. I’ve learned that people truly love to support other people. And so when you connect with a community with “your why”, it’s unbelievable how many will show up to support you and your goals.

How did you get started fundraising on TikTok?
The first giveback video I ever posted was just with the money I had in my bank account, which was about $100.00. After receiving such positive feedback on TikTok, people wanted to start sending me money to use in my videos, which ultimately helped me give away cars, laptops, phones, and even more money.
What's been the most rewarding part of fundraising on TikTok? Any specific moment you can share?
It’s the reactions after we help someone that will always resonate with me the most. Seeing how my followers can make a difference in these people’s lives, people they don’t even know, makes everything I do worth it.
Can you tell us about a recent cause or organization you’ve supported and its impact?
We are in the process of creating our own Non-Profit called the Echandole Ganas Foundation. Our goal is to help out the hard working people of our communities and beyond by providing services to help them find safe and sustainable ways to work and provide for their families.
What strategies or tools would you use to encourage participation and donations while using this feature?
Be genuine. It’s important that when you ask people for money, that it isn’t self-serving. I’ve been blessed enough to be able to work with some amazing brands and be given some memorable opportunities, but it really is all about helping those in need in whatever way that is.

How did you start fundraising on TikTok?
My first large event was helping Make a Wish get on the app and created their first ever TikTok fundraiser. We completed two fundraising events for Make a Wish and raised over $100,000 combined.
What's been the most rewarding part of fundraising on TikTok? Any specific moment you can share?
A standout moment for me would be helping raise over 100K for Make a Wish , also raising over $21,000 in just a few short hours for American Heart Association. One of my favorite fundraising memories was raising enough money to go back to my alma mater and provide enough gifts for every kid to choose a gift for this parent along with a surprise gift for every student in the school.
Can you tell us about a recent cause or organization you’ve supported and its impact?
The fundraiser I am currently working on is for the Bethany house. It is a homeless shelter in my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. They not only help give shelter to families in need. They help place families after their stay.
What strategies or tools would you use to encourage participation and donations while using this feature?
I would encourage participation in this mission based on the amount of people that are going through tough times right now. I would also make sure people know that every little bit helps. I have a lot of people that tell me they can only give a dollar, or two and I explained to them that that all adds up to help for the cause. I believe hitting certain milestones per hour will be key. I will also be hosting a have Christmas with me. So, everyone that donates will have their name written on an ornament and hung on my tree for the entire season.

The Boys & Girls Club has been a meaningful part of my life since childhood, providing support and positive influences.
