In July we kicked off our Official Partnership with the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, the world's largest publicly attended film festival, by launching the TIFF Future of Filmmaking Challenge. Storytelling is central to everything on TikTok. That's why we were thrilled to partner with TIFF to celebrate TikTok effects as a vibrant part of the #FutureOfFilmmaking.

Over the past month, creators designed and published hundreds of filmmaking effects under three categories: Lights (lighting effects), Camera (cinematography), and Action (transitions). Our esteemed jury — including the TikTok team, TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey and creator Laura Gouillon (@lauragouillon) — were enamoured with the creativity and talent displayed by the entries.

Without further ado, we're excited to share the winners of the TikTok Effect House x TIFF Future of Filmmaking Challenge!
