After a 23-week season of fierce digital competition, the New Zealand Warriors (@nzwarriors) have won the inaugural TikTok NRL Ladder competition!

2025 marked the first season of the NRL TikTok Ladder, with the teams going head-to-head on the field each week also competing on TikTok for the highest number of video views.

Since the online competition kicked off in April, the NRL and club accounts combined have had close to one billion video views on TikTok and gained 800,000 new followers.

The Wahs endured only one loss throughout the entire season, battling it out with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (@nrl_bulldogs) for 11 consecutive weeks before finally beating them in Round 19 to surge to the top of the ladder.

With over 354K Followers, the New Zealand Warriors are now the second-most followed NRL club on TikTok, and have found success by offering fans exclusive BTS access to their club and its players, from Pūkana cam to making unforgettable memories.

“TikTok gives our fans behind the scenes access like never before and has helped our club foster new fans of all ages from across NZ and afar - now it's time for us to finish the job on the field."

"The Wahs lit up TikTok this season by serving us heartwarming fan moments, cheeky pranks, and viral clips packed with that signature Kiwi charm," said Simon Bates, Head of Content for TikTok Australia and New Zealand.

"This is a win for New Zealand and a win for rugby league, with the NRL community on TikTok bigger, better, and stronger than ever. We can't wait to celebrate the team's victory at the TikTok Awards in November!"
