This burgeoning industry continues to captivate audiences worldwide, adding a unique and refreshing voice to the tapestry of world cinema with its blend of drama, comedy, and social commentary.

We celebrated #NollywoodNovember which garnered over 34 million views on the platform, recognising the industry for its diverse films across various budgets and genres. We dedicated our efforts to showcasing and celebrating Nollywood’s amazing talent and creativity. Throughout the month, our team actively showcased the far-reaching influence of the industry on our platform. We emphasised Nollywood’s immense potential by sharing success stories from prominent public figures and publishers who have excelled on the platform.

The celebration reached its peak on November 23rd with the highly anticipated Nollywood Summit. It was an opportunity for us to come together and acknowledge the profound impact that Nollywood has had on the cultural landscape of Nigeria and beyond. This event was specifically designed for the top 100 stakeholders in the Nollywood industry, including publishers, media, studios, and performers in Nigeria. They received valuable guidance from our leading publishers and participated in a masterclass led by our team, focusing on effective TikTok utilisation throughout their full production lifecycle.

Throughout #NollywoodY2K, our team actively showcased the far-reaching influence of the industry on our platform, accumulating 16.7 million views. We emphasised Nollywood’s immense potential by sharing success stories from prominent public figures and publishers who have excelled on the platform. This event was specifically designed for the top 100 stakeholders in the Nollywood industry, including publishers, media, studios, and performers in Nigeria. They received valuable guidance from our leading publishers and participated in a masterclass led by our team, focusing on effective TikTok utilisation throughout their full production cycle.


Notably, the Nollywood hashtag has garnered over 6.9 billion video views, with more than 280,000 published videos, positioning it as a rising star in the global movie industry. Comparatively, Bollywood boasts 133 billion video views, and Hollywood follows with 37.6 billion video views. This data underscores Nollywood’s rapid ascent, signalling its potential to rival Hollywood and Bollywood in both popularity and success.
