New Trusted Creators Lab equips TikTok creators with tools to combat online falsehoods
At TikTok, fostering a safe and trusted environment where authentic creativity can thrive is our top priority. Creators are the heartbeat of our community, and we are committed to supporting them with the tools and knowledge they need to share stories that are engaging, responsible, and accurate.
In line with this commitment, we have partnered with Temasek Foundation and Love Frankie to launch the inaugural Trusted Creators Lab - a new initiative that helps creators build the skills to navigate online information responsibly and produce content their audiences can trust.

Introducing the Trusted Creators Lab
The Trusted Creators Lab brings together 19 creators from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia who are passionate about producing engaging and trustworthy content. Representing Singapore are six local creators: Fauzi Azzhar (@fauziazzhar), Mathilda Huang (@mathildaaaa06), Nancy Eva (@nanzyeva), Carrine Low (@carrine.low), Amanda Ang (@hibye.lovez), and Faris Samri (@faris.samri).
Over the next seven months, these creators will take part in workshops, mentorship, and hands-on learning designed to equip them with the knowledge and tools to create content that is both compelling and credible - helping to strengthen information integrity across the region.
Building a network of trusted voices
Creators play a vital role in shaping conversations online. In Southeast Asia, nearly two-thirds of the population are active on social media, with more than a third turning to these platforms for news. Yet, two-thirds of content creators do not consistently verify their facts before sharing, although many say they want to learn how to.

The Trusted Creators Lab was created to bridge this gap. Over the course of the programme, all 19 creators will be able to connect, collaborate, and explore new ways to produce engaging and accurate content, fostering a network of trusted voices that champion ethical, fact-based storytelling across the region.
Building on the work of Temasek Foundation's Asia Journalism Fellowship (AJF), which has cultivated a network of journalists committed to accurate reporting since 2009, the Trusted Creators Lab brings the same dedication to truth and integrity into the digital creator space.
KahnJi Siriprapa Weerachaising, Outreach and Partnerships Manager from TikTok, said: "We’re excited to be part of this meaningful initiative. We recognise that creators play a vital role in shaping the digital information space. Through this programme, we’re proud to support and amplify creators who are producing engaging, factual content and to provide mentorship that helps them grow as trusted voices on the platform."
Spokesperson, Temasek Foundation, shared: "Content creators hold immense power to shape public opinion. Our goal is to build a network of influential creators across Southeast Asia and channel their collective reach toward positive impact."
Matt Love, Co-founder and Director of Love Frankie, said: "Through this programme, we’re building a network of trusted media advocates. By working with some of the region’s most influential young voices, we hope to inspire a generation of creators to champion ethical, fact-based storytelling across every platform."
As the programme concludes in January 2026, the creators' videos will be shared on TikTok, helping audiences better recognise online misinformation, while continuing to explore, learn, and discover the content they love on the platform.
