February is LGBTQIA+ History month and we are honoured to spotlight and celebrate some of the amazing creators from this community, so our latest Creator Spotlight features Jacob Donegan, known on TikTok as @itz_jacob_33 Q: What does LGBTQIA+ History Month mean to you?

A: LGBTQIA+ History Month means, to me, a month to bring to light and remember the inspirations that put all fears aside and stood into their true identity to make a difference in the life we live today. Creating acceptance and knowledge, paving the path for the community of LGBTQIA+ today.

Q: Who from the LGBTQIA+ community inspires you?

A: My inspiration from the LGBTQIA+ community would be Michael Dillon, the first trans man ever known to have undergone the gender confirmation surgery and undergone the surgery in secret thirteen times!

Q: What first inspired you to create on TikTok?

A: It actually started as a joke, and became somewhat therapeutic for me throughout my teenage years. Helping me explore and express myself freely with no limits.

Q: Why is TikTok right for your feel-good content?

A: TikTok is good for my feel-good content as the app itself allows you to build a page you desire, helping the positive content be pushed out to the following you build up. It’s basically creating content you enjoy for the people that enjoy it

Q: What is your goal on TikTok?

A: My goal on TikTok is to help show people that being your true self is more rewarding than living into a life other people ultimately designed for you. Life is too short to care about others ' opinions on your own life, and I hold my page as an example of this

Q: What is your favourite TikTok you have made to date and why?

A: My favourite TikTok I have made, was the TikTok to roar by Katy Perry. In this TikTok, I basically flicked through pictures before my transition. When it came to certain parts, I would show how I was now using the song as a guideline and to shoot the message through harder, that no matter what hate I surface in my life, I’ll never lose my Roar.

Q: What is your favourite recent trend on TikTok?

A: My favourite TikTok trend at the minute is where people say not everything can be an album cover. People prove that wrong by showing random videos of their life and a CapCut template to recreate personal album covers.

Q: What else or who else is on your TikTok For You feed?

A: My FYP is made up of many random things, from fitness to dance, to cooking videos and diet, some memes and comedy etc. I honestly couldn’t pinpoint one thing.
