We chatted to India about her content and what inspires her on TikTok...

What do you love most about TikTok

The acceptance of myself and others who are different or have different perspectives. The platform has been the most welcoming of all my social media, I feel like I can be my most genuine, humorous and silly self without facing complete judgement the way you would be on others platforms.

Why is TikTok right for your content?

On Tiktok, I can use trending hashtags, sounds and challenges to normalise and educate people about something that’s usually so hard to talk about, disability! I can communicate with a wide range of people in a really easy and relatable way, through the universal language of Tiktok videos!

What is your ultimate goal on TIkTok?

I want to create a change in perception of disability, to alter the way people with disabilities view themselves and are viewed by others. My ultimate goal is to be an influencer with a difference, and to use my platform to improve our society for the better by educating, advocating and working with brands to not only normalise it, but to have the desperately needed positive representation of disability.

Who do you follow on TikTok and why? What is on your TikTok feed?

I follow a LOT of comedy accounts! I really enjoy the relatable female comedy that I get from those raw accounts that are so hilariously honest that you almost can’t believe they are openly confessing things online that are usually so rarely spoke about, and yet we can all relate to. It’s the raw honesty in the humour that I love so much.

What is your favourite TikTok you have made to date and why?

My absolute favourite is ‘the little piggies’ video. This video literally came from a negative comment, but I’m showing how you can take something negative that people would be afraid of being laughed at for, into something people can laugh WITH you about. There will always be people ready to belittle you, but this video just shows you have the powerful ability to not let them.
