The 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest - the world's largest live music event - is fast approaching. We are delighted to announce that, for the third year running, TikTok has been selected by the European Broadcasting Union as the Official Entertainment Partner for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
Every year, the TikTok community embraces this celebration of music and culture; sparking Eurovision (@eurovision) trends that take off globally, inspired by the artists that they love. With over 589,000 posts for #Eurovision already, 2024 is set to bring the community closer to the contest than ever.
This year, Eurovision will take place in Malmö, Sweden, following Loreen's incredible victory in Liverpool in 2023. As the Official Entertainment Partner, TikTok is the go-to destination for all things Eurovision. With exclusive access and behind-the-scenes content, TikTok has reimagined the way the world's biggest live music event is experienced and celebrated. The TikTok community comes out in full force in support of Eurovision, with many artists trending throughout and after the contest including second place Finland's Käärijä who said, "I’m just a normal guy who wants to make music and make people happy. Now Käärijä’s going viral on TikTok – I’m so happy!".
Sweden has produced one of the most successful winners of all time, the iconic ABBA, who won the contest 50 years ago with their song 'Waterloo', which catapulted the group to worldwide stardom. Sweden has also won the contest a record equalling 7 times (with Ireland) and holds the crown with current winner Loreen, the first woman to win the competition twice, having first triumphed in Baku in 2012.
