TikTok is today launching #GameTogether, a new set of livestreamed events where seasoned professional gamers and emerging TikTok creators go head-to-head in some of the world's most popular games, including eFootball PES 2021 and Overcooked!

Set over the next three weeks, the first event at 6pm UK time tonight sees comedian Bilal Zafar (Zafarcakes), known for his hilarious Pro Evolution Soccer streams, take on TikTok creator Moyo (@nolimitsmedia - 1.4M followers) at eFootball PES 2021 from developer Konami.

In #GameTogether's second instalment on 1 September (6pm UK time), the formidable Junna (aka @nintendo.grl - 8.6 million followers) is up against presenter and gamer Elz the Witch (@elzthewitch - 94K followers) at Team17's cooking simulation game Overcooked!

To round off the set, Top Gear Gaming Show presenter Julia Hardy and content creator alishakins (@Alishakins - 101K followers) face off in a final as yet to be confirmed racing megahit race on 8 September (6pm UK time).

Sharing gaming journeys

During the events, gamers will also spend time talking about their gaming journey so far, sharing advice and taking questions from viewers on some of their most memorable experiences.

Gaming is all about bringing people together and experiencing the epic moments that make playing video games so enjoyable. We're excited for some great showdowns between talented gamers, hearing their stories and seeing how our TikTok community gets involved.

All three events will be broadcast directly from a London studio as TikTok LIVEs, available to watch via the Discover page within the TikTok app and co-hosted on creators' TikTok pages.

How to get involved

The TikTok community is invited to get involved in the shows by using the hashtag #GameTogether, with the opportunity to vote on elements like who they're backing to win each challenge. Voting is still open for tonight's eFootball PES 2021 face-off between Bilal Zafar and Moyo via the #GameTogether banner on the TikTok Discover page, with people able to choose which national football teams they want to see represented. Code drops will also take place throughout the show.

TikTok is home to a fast-growing group of gaming creators, fans and players, sharing standout gameplay, reactions to hilarious fails, and reliving their favourite gaming moments. From popular hashtags like #gaming (149 billion views), #consolegaming (777 million views) and #springgaming (1.4 billion views), to trends around specific games like Fall Guys (#fallguysmoments - 4.2 billion views), TikTok creators are building a thriving community on the platform and adding a new dimension to the gaming experience.
