Ramadan Mubarak! What does the month of Ramadan mean to you?

To us Ramadan is a lot more than an obligation; in fact, it’s like a healthy lifestyle detox. It’s a time when we experience a renewed sense of spirituality that doesn’t just end when Ramadan is over. It carries on into the rest of the year as well. We are still tasked with seeking deeper knowledge of our religion, remaining charitable, and maintaining bonds with our family and community. Seeking God isn’t just in the heart, it is also supposed to reflect in our actions towards others.

What first inspired you to create content on TikTok?

Our inspiration derived from other content creators as their videos brought a sense of normality. Having been brought up around non Muslims, it was always odd to practice faith or even talk about it. But with TikTok, we can share those moments and know that others can connect to it.

What is your goal on TikTok?

Our aim is to always be relatable. We hope those who are watching can feel that they are part of a larger and stronger community.

What is your favourite TikTok you have made to date and why?

Our favourite TikTok to date is the one where we explain types of people at Taraweeh, which is a congregational prayer offered in Ramadan at night. This is because we shared our personal experience - yet so many people could relate to it.

Which other muslim creators on TikTok inspire you?

Our favourite Muslim creator is @uncultured. His content is a lot like our and he is very relatable and funny.

Finally, what is on your For You feed?!

Currently our for you page is full of food related videos and Islamic reminders because that’s all we watch in Ramadan.
