Team GB and TikTok have teamed up again! 😊
To mark one year to go until the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, TikTok has teamed up with Team GB to challenge you to get active with fun, physical TikTok workout challenges everyone can join in on, with the message – I AmTeam GB. Are you? 🏅
To get involved head over to Team GB’s TikTok page(@TeamGB) and pick a challenge to complete using the #TeamGBGames. Top Team GB athletes, including snowboarder @Aimee_Fuller, hockey player Sam Ward and taekwondo star Mahama Cho have been setting their own challenges, including handstands, juggling and some unique press-ups.
Max Whitlock and Aimee Fuller have also created their own tailored Team GB workout playlist on the Sounds page to guide you through their workout routines and provide the perfect soundtrack to your videos.
The #TeamGBGames is part of Team GB's campaign, I Am Team GB, which launched on Thursday 23rd July and is running until Friday 31st July.
Team GB's five-time Olympic medallist Max Whitlock said: "I am really excited to be working with Team GB and TikTok to bring I Am Team GB to life on the platform. It's such a great way to connect with younger people who might not be engaged with Team GB and physical exercise. If it encourages just a few more people to be physically active it will be a success."
Team GB and TikTok previously teamed up in April for the launch of the #IsolationGames which invited users to recreate the cancelled 'Summer of Sport' and raise funds for the British Red Cross (@BritishRedCross).
George Nikolaou, European Community Manager, TikTok, said: “We love working with Team GB to bring fun sporting events to everyone at home. Our community is always looking for new ways to keep fit and entertained, and what better way than getting Olympic ready with Olympians? Our previous campaign #IsolationGames got a whopping 1.3 billion views, so we're really excited to see what our community has in store for us".
Team GB’s Head of Marketing, Ed Jones said: “I Am Team GB and our commitment to getting people moving in fun and simple ways is an increasingly important part of our strategy and has been a key focus for us during lockdown. So to bring I Am Team GB to life on TikTok at One Year to Go until the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games builds on our recent work on the platform and will help us to continue to inspire the next generation of fans. Working with Max Whitlock and Aimee Fuller to create Team GB Workout playlists is another example of how we are able to be creative on the platform and we’re excited to see the results.”
If you love sports and are missing your Olympics fix join in the #TeamGBGames now!
