Liverpool FC was the first Premier League team to join and create content on TikTok to engage with new audiences online, particularly Generation Z. In less than six months, the club is celebrating its 1 million followers milestone.

The account, @liverpoolfc, was an immediate success with fans and football lovers thanks to entertaining and engaging content, including behind the scenes footage, training ground moments and stand-out goal celebrations from first-team players. With only 65 videos, the channel has received over 6.5M likes and 80.9M views.

Normanno Pisani, Partnership Manager at TikTok, said: “The LFC team understands our community and the type of content they enjoy watching and that is why they have been so successful. The TikTok community loves sports, particularly football, and we can clearly see Liverpool FC has many fans on the platform."

To celebrate this success, Liverpool FC launched a commemorative video featuring midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s groovy moves.
