TikTok is a platform where stars get started, from unearthing the comedians of the future, to finding next big stars of the stage. Now, for the first time ever, our community of musical theatre enthusiasts will have the chance to secure a dream role in DEAR EVAN HANSEN through a collaboration with the show’s casting team and TikTok!

DEAR EVAN HANSEN is already a fan-favourite on TikTok, with nearly 13,000 creations using Waving through the window, as the community come together to share their own renditions of this iconic song. The Broadway and West End smash hit, will embark upon its first ever UK tour this year, and they are collaborating with TikTok to find the stars of the show.

This opportunity is open for every role in the show, not just Evan himself. Applications from performers of all gender identities, with or without formal training, are welcome. Those interested are invited to upload a video on TikTok singing any number from the multi award-winning production with the hashtag #YouWillBeFound.

It's very exciting to be collaborating with TikTok to provide a platform for those who love the musical as much as I do to sing these beautiful songs. We can't wait to see who is out there".

How to apply

⭐ Film yourself singing any song from the production. You’re welcome to sing a section of a song or a whole number, a cappella or with a musical accompaniment.

⭐ Upload the video to your TikTok profile, including the hashtag #YouWillBeFound in the caption.

⭐ Open up your browser and fill in this form to complete your submission: evanontour.com/tiktok.

The details

⭐ The casting call is open from 29 January - 11 February 2024.

⭐ Entrants must be 18+ and based in the UK or Ireland.

⭐ Your video submission must be an authentic recording of yourself, with no audio-editing.

⭐ After the closing date, the casting team will review all submitted videos and invite anyone who they feel could be a part of the cast to participate in the formal audition process at a central London location.

Expert tips

⭐ Select a song from the show that suits your range and shows off your vocal abilities.

⭐ When you record the video, make sure we can clearly see you in a well-lit room.

⭐ Be yourself! You don’t have to trained professionally to enter because today, at least you're you. And well, that's enough!

Directed by Nottingham Playhouse’s Artistic Director Adam Penford, DEAR EVAN HANSEN will open at the Nottingham Playhouse on 9 September 2024, ahead of a UK tour.
