Discover Khardi's journey from the roots of content creation to TikTok fame, where challenges fuel creativity and trolls inspire playful LGBTQ+ antics!

What inspired you to start creating content, and how has your journey evolved over time?

My content creation journey started early in life, even before TikTok. I have always been passionate about content, and I'm a living testament to pursuing what you love, regardless of setbacks. Sometimes I include LGBTQ+ themes, especially when I feel like engaging with trolls playfully.

Can you share a memorable moment or message from your audience that has impacted you personally?

I never thought my audience would listen so intently to what I had to say. Early last year, I announced that I would stop associating my content with wearing plastics and even specified a date for it. Months later, my audience reminded me of what I had said, which was shocking. It was clear that so many people were genuinely listening and keeping up with what I did. It was a beautiful realization.

How do you balance authenticity and creativity in your content, especially when addressing sensitive topics within the LGBTQ+ community?

I’m the type of creator who addresses things playfully—very slick and sassy—but there’s always a deeper message if you pay attention to the content I put out.

What role do you believe TikTok plays in promoting LGBTQ+ visibility and representation?

TikTok plays an incredible role. To this day, I struggle to get engagements on other platforms, but TikTok will forever be my bestie!

Are there any specific challenges you've faced as a content creator in the LGBTQ+ space, and how have you navigated them?

I’m proud to say that I’ve never experienced criticism or homophobic behavior in real life. Online, however, I’ve faced some challenges. Often, these encounters turn out to be misunderstandings, but I never tolerate gaslighting. Overall, I consider myself a very understanding person.

What advice would you give to other LGBTQ+ creators who want to use their platform to make a positive impact?

The LGBTQ+ space is beautiful, but it can also be competitive and challenging. Keep your head high and focus on your craft—work within your means and stay true to yourself. Don’t second-guess yourself or overanalyze what your peers are doing. Be you, and do it for yourself.
