- TikTok Shop LIVE is helping sneakers, streetwear and collectables businesses reach new shoppers and build communities with real-time commerce
- LIVE Auctions are gaining momentum as a feature within LIVE Shopping, helping trusted sellers bring hard-to-find sneakers, streetwear and collectables to TikTok communities in real time
- British entrepreneurs are leaving static-ecommerce behind, with standout success stories including a sneaker reseller generating more than £100,000 in its first three-and-a-half weeks on TikTok Shop and a sports collectables specialist expanding to a 12,000 sq ft warehouse to keep pace with demand
TikTok Shop is emerging as the new epicenter for sneakers, streetwear and collectables, as more sellers across the specialist categories join the platform to tap into TikTok's active communities in real-time with LIVE Shopping.
TikTok Shop LIVE has grown 55% year-on-year, with more than 6,000 LIVE sessions now taking place every day in the UK. As the format continues to evolve, features such as LIVE Auction are helping eligible, trusted sellers create more competitive, community-led moments around hard-to-find products, with access controlled for trusted sellers.
The momentum marks a fundamental shift away from the static, text-and-photo listings of traditional e-commerce as consumers actively seek out experience led shopping online. In categories where authenticity, item condition, and trust are paramount, LIVE Shopping provides an interactive, high-trust alternative. Shoppers can inspect rare items in high-definition, ask questions, and verify seller expertise in real-time before making a purchase.
Sneakers and streetwear lead a LIVE Shopping boom
Streetwear and sneaker resellers are increasingly using TikTok Shop LIVE to replicate the atmosphere of physical sneaker 'drops' and shop-floor community advice. The real-time format gives sellers a direct way to showcase new arrivals, limited-edition products and pre-loved pieces, to build trust with shoppers and drive sales. The impact of the LIVE auction feature on TikTok Shop LIVE, available to approved sellers, is resonating with the UK sneaker community. Over the past month, the number of sneaker sellers utilising the feature has grown nine-fold.
One seller finding success with such LIVE features is Lux Laces, founded by Jack Greig. The business generated more than £100,000 in revenue within its first month on TikTok Shop, despite launching with just four followers. Its debut LIVE broadcast attracted around 1,000 viewers, generated £30,000 in sales and gained approximately 3,000 new followers, underscoring how discovery commerce can help specialist sellers quickly build awareness and sales.
Independent retailer CKL Streetwear has also doubled sales since joining TikTok Shop, increasing weekly stock investment from £2,000–£3,000 to £5,000–£7,000 as LIVE Shopping has helped accelerate product sales, improve stock turnover and customer demand, and build a loyal community of returning customers.
For SPYRO Apparel, LIVE Shopping has become central to its retail strategy. Since joining TikTok Shop, the business has doubled turnover, with around 90% of its total sales now attributed to LIVE Shopping and increasing monthly stock investment by 166% to keep up with the demand.
Collectables Sellers build communities and sales through LIVE
The same trend is transforming the collectables category, where trust, authenticity and seller expertise play a critical role in purchasing decisions. TikTok Shop LIVE gives a space for collectors to directly engage with expert hosts, view signatures and certification details in real-time, whilst helping businesses to build loyal communities around shared interests.
The category has seen significant momentum on TikTok Shop, up 84% year-on-year with LIVE auction accounting for 40% of sales within the category (June 2026 vs June 2025).
For sports memorabilia seller FanCave Memorabilia, founded by Dan Hoyland, that growth has translated into business expansion. Since joining TikTok Shop, the business has expanded from a 2,000 sq ft unit to a 12,000 sq ft warehouse, now ships around 2,500 products each month and has scaled its LIVE Shopping operation from broadcasting two or three times a week to running LIVE sessions seven days a week.
Liam Phillips, Head of TikTok Shop LIVE Fashion said: "Fashion and collectible shoppers want to see what they're buying, understand who they're buying from and feel part of the community around it - and LIVE Shopping makes all of that possible. We're seeing a new generation of UK sellers in sneakers, streetwear and collectables build businesses on TikTok Shop at a pace traditional ecommerce simply couldn't support - and building their own communities of loyal customers in the process."
TikTok Shop recently brought its sneaker, streetwear and collectables communities to life at Crep City Birmingham, one of the UK’s leading sneaker and streetwear festivals. Sellers went LIVE from the show floor, selling sought-after sneakers, streetwear and collectables to shoppers across the UK - bringing the physical and digital resale worlds and its enthusiastic communities together.
