Today we're announcing the launch of bulletin board, a new in-app channel which helps creators communicate and share content directly with their fans and followers. Bulletin board is a one-to-many broadcast channel, making it quick and easy for creators to post news and updates, share exclusive content with their followers, and build thriving communities on TikTok.
Bulletin board has already been used by a wide range of creators to share news and updates during its beta testing phase, including a wide range of artists, publishers such as People Magazine, and the Paris Saint-German football team, among many others. For instance, artists and musicians on TikTok can also use bulletin board to share newly-released tracks or albums with their fans, or to invite them to 'pre-save' a forthcoming release. Their fans can then easily save the song or album to their favorite music streaming service to listen to again and again, thanks to TikTok's 'Add to Music App' music discovery feature.
To start a bulletin board, creators can simply go to their inbox and select create a bulletin board. They can click the 'Show on profile' setting on or off to change the visibility of their bulletin board. Creators can then select 'Create' to open the bulletin board. In addition, creators can also choose a unique name for their bulletin board.
To join a creator's bulletin board, simply go to that creator's profile page, and click the bulletin board's name under the creator's bio. After a follower chooses to join a creator's bulletin board, they will receive notifications in their inbox whenever that creator posts, to which they can react with emojis, making it a simple, streamlined way for creators to communicate at scale.
Just like everything on TikTok, all content must adhere to our Community Guidelines, which we enforce using a combination of technology and human moderators. Our safety tools for muting, blocking, and reporting users and content are available within bulletin board to help keep communities safe and positive.
Bulletin board is rolling out now for all creators at least 18 years old with 50,000 followers or more globally. We're excited to see how this tool empowers creators to engage, create, and grow their communities even further.
