TikTok hosted the first TikTok Ad Awards ceremony today in the Philippines, recognising outstanding brands and marketers who have crafted standout campaigns on the platform.
Launched in February, the TikTok Ad Awards this year marks the first Southeast Asia (SEA) instalment of the ceremony, spanning six markets in the region: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The TikTok Ad Awards 2024 spotlights creatives and provides a platform for them to showcase campaigns that are reshaping the marketing landscape. With the awards, we aim to honour and highlight these industry trailblazers for their contributions to the industry.
For our inaugural award, we received almost 200 submissions from brands and agencies in the Philippines across four categories: Best Branding Campaign, Best Commerce Campaign, Best Performance Campaign, and Best Local Hero Campaign.
"With creativity at the core of our platform, we are dedicated to fostering authenticity and igniting innovation within our vibrant creative community. Transitioning from one-way communication to interactive engagement, we aim to provide brands and marketers with opportunities to foster creativity on a global scale. Congratulations to all the winners for their exceptional work in crafting compelling content on TikTok. We are excited to continue empowering our creatives to produce inspiring content every day," said Paolo David, Philippine Country Head for Brand and Growth Partnerships at TikTok.
The Best Branding Campaign award had gone to TNT's innovative Petmaloop campaign, which showcased the strength of its network across the Philippines by utilizing TikTok's powerful live streaming capability. Following this, PepsiCo – FritoLay's Flavors Of The World campaign was acknowledged with the Best Commerce Campaign for capturing the hearts of its followers by raising awareness and boosting sales of their newly launched unique global flavors on TikTok.
Fanfare was given to Nestlé Philippines, who won the Best Performance Campaign by recognizing TikTok's value proposition around Shoppertainment through their MAGGI Barangay Nestlé Recipe Channel Pilot campaign. Finally, our Best Local Hero Campaign was presented to Dermorepubliq's Your New Holy Grail campaign, a well-deserving visionary in the realm, who set the stage for bigger, better, campaigns in the industry by scaling the brand's relatability on TikTok while sustaining a competitive Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS).
"I had the great pleasure of serving as a jury member for the TikTok Ad Awards Philippines 2024.
