TikTok at the National Ploughing Championships
#FarmTok Irish creators and businesses take center stage at the National Ploughing Championships as TikTok celebrates community, safety, and entrepreneurship
Dublin, Ireland: 12 September 2025 - TikTok is heading back to the National Ploughing Championships this September (16–18), bringing together the #FarmTok community, online safety and Irish businesses at its Tigh TikTok (TikTok House). With more than 2.4 million people in Ireland on TikTok, this year’s event will spotlight community safety and celebrate the creativity of Irish entrepreneurs and creators.
Keeping communities safe, online and offline
To highlight the importance of online safety and digital literacy, TikTok Trust and Safety Ambassador Shanice Griffin (@itshanice_) will host interactive sessions giving visitors practical tips for navigating the online world with confidence. Shanice will be joined by popular TikTok creators including, Eoin Lynch (@eoin_lynch165), Caolan Ward (@crayonward), and Jim Flanagan (@jimflano).
TikTok has also teamed up with Agri Aware to highlight a different kind of safety, on the farm. Farming remains Ireland’s most dangerous job, and this partnership will focus on reducing accidents, supporting mental health, and strengthening networks in rural communities. As part of the campaign #FarmTok creator Fiona Bergin (@Fionaberginx), is working with Agri Aware to produce TikTok content that tackles these challenges head-on, amplifying life-saving messages to TikTok's thriving #FarmTok community.
Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Healy-Rae, welcomed the initiative, saying: "Farming is an immensely important, yet challenging and stressful occupation. This campaign will deliver practical tips and best practice advice to farmers about how to protect themselves on the farm and there's no doubt that TikTok will have a real impact on the reach and impact of these messages to everyone in the farming sector."
The National Ploughing Championships activation will also serve as a launchpad to gather insights directly from the farming community, which will be shared with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to inform future farm safety initiatives and policy development.
TikTok Shop Makes Its Ploughing Debut
For the first time, TikTok Shop is coming to the Ploughing Championships. The announcement comes as sales on TikTok Shop in Ireland have increased by triple digits since January 2025. Across the three days, Irish SMBs, Guaranteed Irish brands, and homegrown success stories will host TikTok Shop LIVEs from the festival fields in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
Two of Ireland's wellknown #FarmTok creators: Fin Walsh (@fin_walsh99) and Katie Larkin (@theabbeycowgirl) will be lending a helping hand to Irish businesses. Both creators will bring their expert selling skills, usually showcased only at the cattle mart, into the digital world to support Irish businesses as LIVE shopping hosts on TikTok Shop.
Since its launch in late 2024, the number of sellers on TikTok Shop Ireland has more than doubled from January 2025 to May 2025, with businesses reporting exponential growth regardless of their size or location.
The three-day shopping showcase will feature inspirational success stories, from Sugar Plum Sweetery (@sugarplumsweetery) with their viral Dubai Chocolate to leading beauty brands like BareByVogue (@barebyvogue) – which saw a 600% jump in sales between March and April 2025 from their TikTok LIVE strategy – and 16-year-old Isabella Harte's KissMyLips clothing brand (@kissmylipsclothing), which now generates tens of thousands monthly through nightly TikTok Shop LIVE sessions.
Celebrating Irish life at the Ploughing
