Following on from our partnership with the Ballymaloe Festival of Food, we’re spotlighting some of the amazing food entrepreneurs using TikTok to reach new audiences and grow their businesses. Rívesci (@rivesci.ie), owned by husband and wife team, Shannon and Declan Forrest, blends bold condiments with everyday cooking inspiration on TikTok. From their dog-friendly café in Clonmel to buzzing food festivals, their content is as thoughtful as it is tasty.

Q: What inspired you to showcase Rívesci's products on TikTok?
A: We wanted to engage with our existing and future customers in a way that would allow them to, not just learn about the products we have, but also inspire them in their everyday cooking.

@rivesci.ie So happy to share our V.I.Paw Wall of Fame with you all. This is a work in progress with more to come. 😍🐕🦮 Inspiration taken from Barber's Bar, Dublin If you're a dog lover, you've got to check out this gorgeous pub in The Smoke. 🍻 Visit us at our coffee shop in Clonmel Tuesday - Saturday #RivesciHQ #neighbourhoodcoffeeshop #Clonmel #VisitTipperary #dogfriendly #coffeeshop #Ireland ♬ original sound - Rívesci

Q: What's your favourite part about being an Irish food producer in today's digital food community?
A: Seeing how much growth and innovation there is in our sector. So many food and drinks producers are paving the way forward for new up and coming brands and not just getting stuck on trends but developing products that showcase our rich food heritage fit for the world stage.

@rivesci.ie ☀️ Festival season is upon us! ☀️ We're just about recovered from an absolutely fantastic @waterfordfestivaloffood last weekend 🥳 We loved being in the thick of it in the Square! Huge thanks to Tommy & all the Market staff & volunteers for looking after us so well! The bands, choir & all the entertainment on the bandstand beside us was epic 😎 Great to be in amongst such a wonderful variety of stalls and friendly & neighbourly stall holders. ✌️ Sincere thanks to our friends, both long-standing & new, Dún Bakery, Cass & Co, The Phat Cow, Goldie @ And Chips for keeping us so well fed and watered! ☕️🍔🍞🫛 We're already looking forward to next year ✨️ #Dungarvan #FoodFestival #Waterford #Fungarvan ♬ original sound - Rívesci

Q: Which of your condiments has received the most surprising or enthusiastic response on TikTok? A: Cashew Chilli Crush has always been the one to get the most love but our brand new Dec's Hot Honey is really gaining momentum and peaking interest from our TikTok community.

Q: Can you share how a local ingredient or Irish food tradition has influenced your product development?
A: The rapeseed oil that we use is from Emerald Oils (@emerald.oils), here in Co.Tipperary. We use it in our cooking and it is also in our Smoked Chilli Oil, Cashew Chilli Crush, Smokey Tang and Fiery Fung. Having trained in a Michelin Star kitchen, Declan will always seek out the best of ingredients that he can!

Q: What is your favourite recipe you have shared on TikTok to date and why? A: Our Upgraded Open Halloumi Sourdough Sandwich is our favourite to date because it brings back memories of our most popular menu item when we were operating our food truck! A brilliant recipe for all to enjoy and showcasing so many other Irish food producers.

Q: Which other Irish food producers or foodie creators are on your For You feed?
A: We love to see our fellow Tipperary Food Producers Network friends on TikTok such as O'Donnells Crisps [@odonnellscrisps] & Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers [@cashelfarmhousecheese]. Neven Maguire [@nevenmaguire] is a fantastic Chef and also great to show his personal love of dance music and DJing which we really enjoy too, there's nothing like seeing the person behind the brand! We also love to see Kevin Dundon [@kevindundon] showcasing traditional Irish recipes in a new and exciting way and food creator Lili Forberg [@liliforberg] does brilliant fakeaway recipes.
