TikTok and the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry have joined forces and are heading to Ballarat, to launch a brand-new business program, 'It's Time for TikTok'. This interactive, in person breakfast event, will give Ballarat businesses the opportunity to learn how they can use TikTok to grow their business and reach new customers.

TikTok's Head of SMBs, Tora Brophy, said we know the power of TikTok, and we're excited to share this knowledge with local businesses. "There's no doubt that businesses are doing it tough, which makes TikTok for business even more exciting. With TikTok you can reach new customers and grow, using just your phone and some authentic content. In fact, more than 350,000 businesses, of all shapes and sizes, are already finding success using the platform".

'It's Time for TikTok', includes an in-person breakfast event on July 30th, followed by interactive online training modules that businesses can work through in their own time. Attendees will learn everything about using TikTok, including setting up an account, making a TikTok, and understanding how to use the platform features to connect with more than 8 and a half million Australians and a global community of more than one billion people.

In addition, they'll also hear from business owners who are already on TikTok and have the opportunity to ask questions. Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chief Executive, Paul Guerra, said teaming up with TikTok allows the business group to provide their members with a new and exciting way to market their businesses. "Many members tell us that money is tight and times are tough, so finding new ways to reach customers is vital for growth. The recently released TikTok Economic Impact Report found that more than three and a half million people visited a restaurant, and up to three million purchased a product or service, in just one month because they discovered it on TikTok. We want our business chamber members to get a piece of that real world impact."

TikTok's Tora Brophy said businesses on TikTok are really diverse."From lawn mowers to landscapers, bakers to bookshops, mechanics, fashion, food and tourism, the list is endless. So, no matter what type of business, I'd encourage everyone to come along because you never know if your video could be the next viral hit." Tora Brophy said.

This events roadshow, held in both Melbourne and Regional Victoria, puts businesses in the room with TikTok, providing insights, tips and tricks on how to use the social media platform to their advantage and an opportunity to hear from businesses who are doing just that.
