What inspired you to get involved in creating the PRIDE by Creators Effect on TikTok?
It was an opportunity to use my voice and advocate for my community. Standing up for what I believe in is something I promised myself, so being part of this movement was a natural choice for me.
I hope it helps community members feel included and recognized in the digital space. Everyone needs to know that their presence matters and that they are valued.
Can you tell us about the creative process behind developing the PRIDE by Creators Effect? What were your main objectives and considerations?
The creative process involved reflecting on what pride means to me and how I envision queerness. I wanted to bring that beauty and freedom to life, so I came up with the idea of drawing angel wings as a symbol of the fight for equality. Incorporating the colours representing different sexualities was also essential.
What does it mean to you personally to have a dedicated effect that celebrates Pride on TikTok?
It's groundbreaking and incredibly fulfilling to have the opportunity to contribute to such a significant initiative. It signifies progress and acceptance, both personally and for the wider LGBTQIA+ community.
What message or feeling do you hope users experience when they use the PRIDE by Creators Effect on TikTok?
I hope users feel a sense of freedom and warmth. I want them to experience acceptance and celebration of their identity, fostering a positive and empowering environment. The effect can serve as an educational tool, particularly for young users of TikTok. It can generate curiosity and interest in the LGBTQIA+ community, encouraging further exploration and understanding.
In what ways will the PRIDE by Creators Effect help foster a sense of belonging and community for LGBTQIA+ creators and users on TikTok?
As a major platform, TikTok is vital in fostering a sense of belonging and community. By showcasing creators like myself celebrating their differences and embracing pride, we provide a reflection for others, inspiring them to express their love, talents, and opinions confidently.
How do you plan to use the PRIDE by Creators Effect in your content or encourage others to use it during Pride Month?
I will use the effect to represent and empower my gay community, highlighting how greatness can find us even when we are young queer individuals. Additionally, I plan to actively participate in spaces celebrating Pride Month and continue to create amazing content that reflects my unique personality.
