TikTok Shop concluded its 6.6 Birthday Mega Sale with an 80% year-on-year increase in platform Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), driven by local sellers and creators bringing their best to LIVE, and shoppers showing up in record numbers.Compared to the 6.6 Sale in 2025, this year's Birthday Sale saw more than 1.5x the number of daily shoppers, 2x growth in overall platform livestream GMV, 2x the number of livestreams per day, and a 167% increase in livestream views - pointing to how content and commerce are increasingly intertwined for shoppers on the platform. How sellers grew through 6.6Throughout the sale, local sellers leveraged TikTok Shop's content and commerce ecosystem, including LIVE sessions, short videos, and creator collaborations, to reach shoppers and drive growth. The consumer brand under Kim Guan Guan Coffee, a traditional coffee roaster established in 1988, Kim's Duet (@kimsduetsg), offers single-serve steep bags that make Singapore-style kopi and teh easier to enjoy at home. Led by second-generation family member Nevin Soon, the brand used curated bundles, special pricing, and a stronger LIVE presence during 6.6 to reach more first-time buyers. Through TikTok Shop's Growth Accelerator Programme, the team sharpened their understanding of platform tools and tightened their narrative on stream — finding in LIVE a way to bring the brand's heritage closer to digital shoppers and build direct relationships with customers.Founded by Nivedita Venkateish, Aire (@aire.shop) used the 6.6 Birthday Mega Sale to bring greater visibility to adult incontinence care, a category that carries everyday significance for seniors, caregivers, postpartum women, and individuals with medical conditions. During the campaign, Aire recorded a 3x increase in GMV compared to previous campaigns, making 6.6 its highest-performing yet, alongside a spike in livestream views. The campaign also showed how creator fit can shape the way sensitive products are received: Aire worked with Jessica, a TikTok Shop affiliate creator and caregiver whose personal experience caring for her father helped shoppers connect with the product through lived experience. Affiliate videos saw stronger visibility during the sale week, with one day reaching 2x in affiliate GMV.BYJOLYN (@byjolyn.com), the character-driven art and merchandise brand by local illustrator Jolyn Kang, used the 6.6 sale to introduce its world of original characters - a pink cat, frog, and duck built around everyday adulting moments - to more shoppers. The brand saw strong livestream engagement during the campaign, with viewers asking about products and sharing which characters they related to most.Creators supporting discovery and engagementCreators contributed to product discovery and shopper engagement throughout the campaign through LIVE sessions, short videos, and affiliate content.Affiliate creators generated twice the number of sales compared to an average day, with LIVE hours streamed by affiliate creators increasing by 1.3x and a corresponding 170% increase in affiliate LIVE GMV over the same period.Aaron (@aaronandstar), one of TikTok Shop’s early LIVE Host Academy participants, has built a full-time career through LIVE commerce since joining the programme in May 2025. During the Birthday Sale, Aaron ranked 2nd in the Top New Creators category, running high-energy LIVE sessions built around real-time interaction and product discovery.Shernice Chee (@shernicec), a fast-growing TikTok Shop affiliate creator in the fashion category, connects with shoppers through a genuine, relationship-driven approach to content and product recommendations. Drawing from her background in marketing, Shernice achieved her first-ever four-figure commission in a single LIVE session - a personal milestone on the platform.Bringing the campaign to Orchard RoadAhead of the sale, TikTok Shop brought its 6.6 Birthday campaign to Orchard Road through two activations that extended the shopping experience beyond the platform.Local creator Orchard Road Fashion (@orchardroadfashion) led a street performance featuring an original TikTok Shop birthday jingle and choreography. Sunny D, one half of the dance duo Seriously Cannot (@seriouslycannot), opened the routine alongside the cast — and midway through, introduced the campaign search keyword TTSBDAYSURPRISE, which unlocked additional rewards for shoppers. @orchardroadfashion Looks like we attended a birthday party 🤭 And there’s a secret gift? 👀🎁 #TTSBDAYSURPRISE ♬ original sound - Orchard Road Fashion TikTok Shop's "Free Treat Boys" activation, inspired by the platform's in-app Cake Smash game, offered passers-by the opportunity to win cash and prizes through an interactive on-ground experience. @tiktokshop_sg What's a party without FREE birthday treats?
