It's not intimidating anymore - it's community-building, exciting and empowering."Golf Australia’s State of the Game 2025 report shows:more than four million Aussies played golf in some form in the last year.60% of new golfers in 2025 were women.41% of new members were under the age of 35; double the proportion of existing members.junior membership surged 18.2% in 2025, with the number of under 18-year-old members more than doubling in the last five years.Improving more than just your gameGolf is increasingly recognised for its mental, social and lifestyle benefits, motivating Aussies to pick up the sport for reasons beyond competition, like mother and golf enthusiast Sunny Long (@itssunnylong).Sunny said, "Golf has become such an important part of my life; not just for exercise and time outdoors in nature, but for the time spent together.
