As organisations around the world report that antisemitism is on the rise, we welcome the opportunity to attend the Malmö International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism to further the invaluable work on remembering the Holocaust and fighting against antisemitism.

For our part at TiKTok, we pledge to put our full strength behind keeping our platform a place that is free of hate, and to harness the power of TikTok to educate our community.

Our commitment to Holocaust remembrance and fighting antisemitism

As we have said before, hateful behaviour is incompatible with our values and the inclusive environment we have built at TikTok. We will continue to take all necessary steps to protect our community from those who seek to spread hate.

We condemn antisemitism in all its forms. We deploy a combination of technologies and moderation teams to remove antisemitic content and accounts from our platform, including Holocaust denial or any other form of hate speech directed at the Jewish Community.

Last year, we strengthened our enforcement against hate speech to help ensure we capture the evolving landscape of hateful behaviours, and we invest in regular training for our moderation teams to better detect hateful behaviour, symbols, terms, and offensive stereotypes.

We will keep strengthening our toolbox for fighting antisemitic content and work with organisations such as the World Jewish Congress to understand evolving trends and improve our strategies and processes.

Education plays a critical role in striking out hate, so in the coming months we will look to direct our community to educational resources all year round, including content created by our partners, so that people can learn about the Holocaust, the Jewish community and modern-day antisemitism.

We will also continue to elevate voices representing the Jewish community by expanding our work to help NGOs and other civil society groups make the most of TikTok and find new, creative ways to share with new audiences their knowledge about topics of importance to the Jewish community.

We're humbled that TikTok has become a home for a myriad of diverse voices, which are the beating heart of the awe-inspiring creativity we see every day on our platform. We will work relentlessly to provide a safe space where people feel welcomed and empowered to express themselves exactly as they are.
